Planning to watch with 16-year-old DD. Possible DH and 19-year-old DS may also watch.
My criteria:
Nothing really dark or with particularly graphic violence.
Not into sci-fi.
A well told story with believable characters is much more appealing to me than spectacular special effects.

TIA

Outbreak Wink

Peter Rabbit. I know, it's a kids film, but I thought it was hilarious!

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is great
Paddington 1 or 2, both are fabulous and life affirming

Somebody recommended Dumpling to me and I really enjoyed it.

The breakfast club
Pitch Perfect
Grease

About time is absolutely amazing but you will be in floods of tears by the end.

The hobbit is brilliant for all ages

Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Touching, and very funny

Dumplin

About Time!
Now You See Me is a good watch. Think Oceans 11 with magic.
I found Megamind hilarious and uplifting

Thank you for the recommendations. Wanted to watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople, but sadly not available on Netflix at the moment. Might give Outbreak a miss for now Grin

Really enjoyed Fighting with my Family on Netflix. Based on a true story - great storyline and cast, and funny.

The Big Short - entertaining and explains the 2007/8 financial crisis, really interesting.

Watched The Highwayman yesterday starring Kevin Costner. It’s about two rangers looking for Bonnie and Clyde, and was good.

Lady Bird
I Tonya......violent and dark, but brilliant.
