Narwhals

Playing a ‘name an animal, fish or bird’ game with DDs and DH and I said Narwhal. DH said that we agreed nothing imaginary so I had to break it to my 39 year old educated husband that Narwhals are in fact real. Also having to google anteaters for DD.

I’m sure I’ve seen this mentioned before on MN. Anyone else surprised by the things people do/don’t believe in.

I had to break it to DH not too many years ago that aardvarks and armadillos aren't the same animal!

I once told the chap in our accounts department that we had finally received client X's cheque that they has claimed to have sent for months. I said I started to think it was mythical like unicorns and he said what? unicorns aren't real. He must have been late 40s, bright, well educated with good general knowledge and enjoyed quizzes but somehow it had totally passed him by that unicorns aren't real.

Yeah I thought they were made up till I saw one in a museum!

My dear Mum asked me if Unicorns were a real but extinct animal.
Not the pink glittery rainbow ones that are around now but just standard grey (horses aren't white , even white are called grey) horses with a single horn. Bit like an antelope or smaller horned deer ....but horse . Why wouldn't they exist?

But not Pegasus . Flying horses , Nooo

I ad to explain to her that sadly , no they weren't real .

My DMum won't let me have re-incarnation , so I;m not letting her have Unicorns
