My mattress warmer! Getting into a warm bed each night with a good book is as close to heaven on earth as you can get.
My heartbeat. It is heavy and it reminds me that my heart works harder than others'. It is a compromised heart, but it works and I am still here. I was terrified before. But I am beginning to remember that my heartbeat tells me I am living, not dying.
