Facebook Portal - can someone advise please?

Hello

I’m thinking of getting DM a Portal. She lives alone (widowed) 250 miles away. I have a few Qs about it though!

1- do I need one too?
2- how easy is it to set up? If I buy her one, out in her details and post it, will just just hace to plug it in?
3- are they actually any good?

Hi, I have one. They are good for video chats. I think she will need to set it up a her end though - any tine I unplug mine, I have to log it on to the Wi-fi when I turn it back on, and link it to my FB account. It’s simple enough for me but it depends how technically savvy your Mum is. You don’t need one, you can use FB messenger or WhatsApp On whatever device you have.

I think if you can get one and get it set up, they are perfect for the current situation.

I'm thinking of this too. Did you get one and did you get the tv one or the one that just sort of looks like an iPad? X
