When did pigs in blankets become “a classic Easter side”

I saw them advertised in a Aldi flyer as this. I’m not complaining by the way, l love pigs in blankets!

I didn’t think they were 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re having braised lamb shanks on Sunday and while I love pigs in blankets, I don’t think they would go.

Maybe Aldi had some stock to shift from christmas?

Jesus loved them apparently, but that part was written out of the King James Bible on for authenticity (as he was Jewish)
