And the funny threads always seem to be on the active list when my DH asleep so I can't read them in case I snort

First for pregnancy over 40, then ivf, then adoption, (which sadly broke down) nowadays tend to reply to accountancy and furlough questions.

The Litter Tray and tutting at idiotic and mean replies to posts in AIBU.

The forums and not a lot else. I like reading the OTT responses and the handwringing about things that wouldn't even cross my mind. It makes me realise just how easy going and laid back I actually am.

Relationships because I love it when a woman chucks a cocklodger out.
Also love all the bizarre replies on AIBU especially when someone has clearly not read the OP properly.

No, just the forum and I wouldn’t pay a penny to use it either. They don’t share the profits when winning so shouldn’t expect us to pay when losing. They should make cut backs, lots of pointless drivel on the site.

Just the chat on forums, via the app on my phone.

I saw what the staffing costs were monthly, and that there are approx 100 staff. I was gobsmacked but then Mumsnet is so much more than just the chat forums.

I do wonder if they should streamline and cut down everything but the chat.

Just the Talk forum, though I find I'm using it less and less these days.

I suppose it is a classic model of the internetbased business over-reaching itself. Start small, grow grow grow, expand your user base, flog ads and data, and then suddenly you have 100 staff (what do they all DO? especially given that the night mods are, I believe, unpaid).

Then the economy goes tits up and the advertisers fall away.

I've never looked at anything other than the forums. And I won't be paying into a failed business model where someone got too greedy either.

In the past I was here for the pregnancy stuff. These days I'm mostly lurking in Preppers
