Two player games?

It's my mum's birthday soon and I'm trying to think of a present. She's in lockdown with my dad and I think they're both going a bit stir crazy. But they do really like games so thought I'd send a new one for them, (puzzles, logic, quiz type ones) but most seem to be for more players.

Are there any good two player thinking-type games that anyone can recommend?

I've just bought boggle and Yahtzee for our family, to help the kids with their spellings and maths. But they would be just as fun for adults, especially as Yahtzee can be quite tactical with what you choose to score.

Can you still buy the dingbats game?

Coup
Pandemic (if you each play two players)
Carcassone
Settlers of Catan

Obvious ones that they'll already have I guess are Scrabble, pack of cards, loads of 2 player card games to learn! There's one called piquet which is two player and pretty involved

Monopoly deal card game is great with two players, easy to pick up and very addictive!
