How do I deal with this? Facebook related.

Background: I’m a happily married Mum.

My 8yo DS was mucking about with my phone. He opened my facebook and in ‘people you know’ the profile of a Dad of a little girl he goes to school with appeared with a pic of him and DS’s class mate. Because he recognised his classmate, DS hit ‘add friend’.

I didn’t know until the next day when I got a ‘xxx accepted your friend request’ notification.

The Mum is not a friend on Facebook.

I’m so cringing. I’ve never met this man and am only nodding terms with the Mum. I’m worried the Mum will think I was trying it on with him.

What should I do? Ignore it or acknowledge it and explain the mistake?

I would do nothing.

I wouldn't give it a second thought to be honest. Don't worry about it.

I would now 'unfriend' him and leave it at that.

Exactly, just unfriendly again.
