I had one booked last week but it was cancelled by the practice, so maybe not as just routine.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 09/04/2020 18:40

Not in Scotland

Mammaaof · 09/04/2020 18:41

I had mine done last tue, I'm in Wales x

Lunalady21 · 09/04/2020 18:44

I was told to book one by my health visitor (6 week old baby) Confusedwasn't sure it would be classed as an 'urgent app' that my GP surgery is taking .. health visitor discharged me over FaceTime call which I thought was rather good lol ..

Spied · 09/04/2020 18:46

I don't know, I've been wondering as I received a letter asking me to make an appointment only yesterday.
Routine appointment.

RedRed9 · 09/04/2020 18:48

Cancelled here.

itsgettingweird · 09/04/2020 18:59

Mine was booked for next week (been booked for months) and has been cancelled. However they did say if I had any symptoms I was worried about and felt I needed the test to contact the surgery.
Other than that I was told to expect to be contacted in 12 weeks or so.

Oblomov20 · 09/04/2020 19:00

No
Non essential

makingmiracles · 09/04/2020 19:00

I’m wondering if results are still posted out? Or are they even processing them? Mine was done right at beginning of March and I’ve not heard anything.

dementedpixie · 09/04/2020 19:03

Scotland has cancelled them along with other screening tests. Dont know about England

Mammaaof · 09/04/2020 19:04

@makingmiracles I asked how long and the nurse said about 2-3 weeks at the moment I'd ring your surgery and ask why there taking so long x

dementedpixie · 09/04/2020 19:05

@Lunalady21 not normally recommended to have a smear until at least 12 weeks after birth

dementedpixie · 09/04/2020 19:05

When I had mine they said 6/7 weeks for results

user1471453601 · 09/04/2020 19:10

DD had an appointment for one a couple of weeks ago. She got a text saying the doctor would do her appointment by telephone. She texted back asking how long the handles were

PleasantVille · 09/04/2020 19:12

Yes, with 2m long speculums Shock

jammydodgerz · 09/04/2020 19:12

Mine was cancelled - they said it was up to me but they'd suggest cancelling for now. Seems sensible.

Poppi89 · 09/04/2020 19:34

I had my smear test last year and had the virus present so I was told I needed to have another one in 12months time to see if the virus was still there. I have not heard anything from them yet but I'm not sure whether to contact them or not or how long to leave it as I don't think it would be classed as an emergency.

carrottopper · 20/04/2020 18:47

I had mine done today
