I'm being gifted random crap from China...

A few weeks ago my mum received a parcel addressed to me from China. I didn't order anything from China nor anywhere else to her house.

She opened it and found it to be a Chinese charm bracelet so I assumed one of the kids ordered it and forgot about it given how long things take to come from China. Anyway, the kids hated it, my mum loved it so she kept it, and we thought nothing more of it until today.

Today she has received two parcels from China addressed to me. One single fork and a spoon.

Who? What? Why?

I've Checked my bank, my credit card and my PayPal. I'm not paying for these things.

They send it out so they can post fake reviews of their products and have them verified as genuine.

It's to buy good reviews. They have to have a verified delivery in order to post a review, so they send out something cheap.

Hi OP, its called “empty package scalping” or “brushing” plenty of info online

Oh. I wish they'd send something useful like a cpu or graphics card or a new mop.

Is this something I need to worry about?

I think we're all experiencing a little unexpected 'gift' from China at the moment.

I got a pair of socks. I never knew why.
