I wonder what the result would be?

I’m assuming that everyone could vote by phone/on line.

I suspect most wouldn't want change in a crisis, so little difference.

I would vote Labour now, but I was an (ineffective against a strong Tory) Libdem voter, so probably wouldn't make any difference.

HennyPenny4 · 09/04/2020 06:16

How can you wonder - smart and intelligent though Keir Starma appears he has not had a chance to prove his capability at anything yet,

Reginabambina · 09/04/2020 06:19

I don’t think it makes much of a difference at this point. What is there that the Labour Party could be doing differently?

ludicrouslemons · 09/04/2020 06:26

There will be an inquiry in which the tories get absolutely slammed for incompetence in all this, not just during the crisis but running down the nhs and public services.

My hope is they will be unelectable.

VashtaNerada · 09/04/2020 06:32

Depressingly with the lies and propaganda going on, people would probably vote Tory. I find it utterly shocking that anyone could possibly support a party who have always been very open about their belief in a small public sector at a time when we desperately need a strong, well resourced, well supported public sector, but there you go. You would hope this crisis would bring out the best in people and they would vote in the interests of the most vulnerable, but I suspect (as we’ve seen in recent years) most people vote in the interests of the rich and powerful.

VashtaNerada · 09/04/2020 06:33

Maybe that should say “many people vote in the interests of the rich and powerful”, not most.

lubeybooby · 09/04/2020 07:12

I'm not a tory but don't want a change at the moment. There's been too much destabilisation already. I might even vote tory to help keep the status quo if there were a GE soon which thankfully there shouldn't be for a long time now.

LastTrainEast · 09/04/2020 08:30

Not much choice in who to vote for. I'm a lifelong supporter of the Labour Party, but they are just a mess now. All I know about the current lot is that they are obsessed with trans and the state of Israel and think they can do no wrong. Maybe if they took an interest in their voters it would help?

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 09/04/2020 08:41

I think the results would be even better for the Conservatives

Labour have a lot of work to do to win peoples confidence

ClashCityRocker · 09/04/2020 08:43

It would be a tory landslide.

Boris is more popular than ever, I believe. It's something that often happens during a crisis. May well change once we are through it (see world war two etc).

Tbh I wouldn't want a change of government right now.

Helmetbymidnight · 09/04/2020 08:45

in times of national crisis, people tendto rally round their leader.

boris can do no wrong now despite doing every fecking thing badly.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 09/04/2020 09:26

Wait til the economic fallout hits. The Tories will wish they weren't in government.
