What Would It Take For You To Subscribe?

There are 2 excellent discussion threads going already but I have started his hoping for people to just post what they would think would make them pay up.

A quick reference for MNHQ.

My points

Only subscribers to the site can report threads. No random reports from strangers.

A more rational approach to moderation.

Only members can see the site at all - paid or unpaid.

I think that only subscribers should be able to report multiple times in a way that is looking for a poster to be banned, yes.

Given that FWR is what keeps me here I doubt I'd find a way to reconcile the restrictions on speech with any subscription.

I appreciate that FWR has lost MN revenue. But that is not down to it's content but to the way MNHQ manage it... letting non members report, complain etc.

I'm not the right person to ask, I suspect.

Do MN have a donation page? That would probably be more popular - people would probably rather donate than pay money on the dubious understanding that they’re getting something equal in return.

I think having a two-tier community where those who can pay are those who can edit their posts and make themselves look more articulate, logical etc., and who aren’t subject to the same transparency, is not great.
