Box Dye - Holly Willoughby!

Holly has put a video on Instagram of her box dying her hair with the product she endorses (Garnier Nutrisse). It looks amazing! I have highlights every 6 weeks and going to have bad roots in about a weeks time... do any of you box dye blonde hair?? What do you use?

I use semi permanent box bye just to even out my colour as I have a few greys. It actually improves the condition. My hair is mousy brown though and I use a dark ash, blonde not sure I would be brave enough to use anything that lightens with ammonia etc in case of a disaster or adverse reaction

I use Nutrisse Garnier, not the one with HW on it, I think it's called light blonde N°9.
I like it, easy to use and the conditioner is lovely.
I just do my roots about once a month.

I use Natural Instincts semi perm but have used Nice n Easy as well and had good results.

I’m so tempted! My colleagues can only see me video call just now so even if it was a disaster they probably wouldn’t be able to tell

Has she just done her hair today because on This Morning yesterday and my first thought was how her roots were badly needing done.

I used to work for L’Oréal (who make Garnier), sounds like someone saw her roots and fed back that they needed doing ASAP. I remember the panic in the office when her hair looked dreadful on ‘I’m a Celeb’ last year.

I use John Frieda box dye. It does need a purple shampoo the day after to mute a bit of yellow but I'm very happy with the results. As it's a foam it's easier to get in the books and crannies than other brands

I can't understand why it doesn't go orange/yellowey. She did look good am tempted

I use the lightest Garnier box, then Wella T18 purple toner to take out the yellow. The Garnier does come with a purple conditioner which is good for inbetween.

Holly and Davina make home dying seem easy but I remember the green/blue medely I ended up with on my naturally ash blonde mop while trying for a more platinum blonde years ago.
I wonder how many celebs will manage without their hairstylists and make up artists during social distancing?
