I'm really struggling with dd's school work

I'm so overwhelmed by it all. There is bloody loads! like 5/6 pieces per a lesson. She's so unmotivated to do it too because i think she's struggling. She has dyslexia and so have i which isn't helping.

i don't know what to do.

You need to see if you can find related videos
The BBC are starting classes on TV 20th for different subjects which might be an alternative.

Get some audio books instead

So she’s 12 meaning she’s in year 7.
That means there is plenty of time to catch up once schools reopen.
There will be lots of children in the same position op, try not to worry or stress.
Just encourage and help her as much as you can. Even if she only gets through half of the work set, at least It’s something and shows she’s trying.
Is there a teacher you can email to ask for advice? Perhaps they are setting her too much?
And I agree with the above post, there is lots of help online. BBC Bitesize has excellent videos and online lessons.

Are you now on holidays and catching up?

I would

  • stick to core subjects
  • contact her form tutor and say it is too much / inaccessible
