I am really struggling to keep my two children entertained at home and now we are into week 3 - we are all going a little bit bananas!

I am looking for inspiration....so what will you be doing over Easter if you have young children (mine are 5 boy and 3 girl) Daffodil

Going to do an Easter egg hunt in garden. Won't take long my gardens not that big. Decorate some boiled eggs. Bake a cheesecake. Make a roast

Or bbq depends on weather

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 07/04/2020 11:16

We will do a treasure hunt with clues (lollipop or sweetie with each clue they find) leading to their egg. We haven't been able to get anything more in.

We aren't really into Easter as not religious. So the bunny brings an egg and that's about it.

We may do an indoor or outdoor assault course style hunt as kids are sporty and fit types.
They’ve also been making Easter cards to send to relatives and those we can’t see just now that we will post.

Whoareyoudududu · 07/04/2020 11:26

Egg hunt in the garden as usual plus egg and spoon race using their painted hard boiled eggs. Will also make nest buns and bake carrot cake.

Angel2702 · 07/04/2020 11:30

Easter Breakfast, made bark already going to make nest cakes and Easter biscuits later this week, egg hunt, make Easter bread rolls, decorating eggs, growing chocolate lollipops,

Littleshortcake · 07/04/2020 11:33

Mine are 5 and 6. Will watch an Easter movie at some point. Cook a roast (probably turkey). Do a little eggs hunt. Lidl had some nice crafts. Might do those. I have the book We are going on an Egg Hunt.

But Yes.. We are very bored

Not much as we have teens we will probably hardly see them as they prefer to spend most of the time in their bedrooms.

At that age the possibilities are endless. Easter egg hunt, scavenger hunt, watch Hop film, make easter bonnets, decorate pace eggs, colour in easter eggs, easter picnic indoors or outdoors, go for a walk, eat chocolate, make easter nests (cereal/chocolate), make easter cards/write easter cards, get a piece of wallpaper and help the kids make a giant happy easter poster to display in your front window, make a childrens or family den in the house or garden. Enjoy. 🐣

Easter egg hunt, either in the house or garden. Making some Easter biscuits/nests, some craft with dd. Cinema day, going to rent the new trolls film and have popcorn etc.

georgialondon · 07/04/2020 12:40

Easter egg hunt, painting Easter animal figures, Easter stickers and eating chocolate

TheEndIsBillNighy · 07/04/2020 12:42

My two are 6 and 4. We plan on doing an indoor and outdoor Easter egg hunt (I’ll have to get up early to sneak past my early risers to put them in the garden), we’ll cook a roast lamb and luckily my parents live nearby, so I’ll be able to walk round and drop the roast on their doorstep too.

I think I’ve got some leftover Easter crafts from last year, so will probably get those out too.

Thanks for sharing your other lovely ideas. Love the idea of watching an Easter film.

@goldenorbspider
Those are my exact plans too!
Got some fillable eggs for a garden hunt, baking a blueberry swirl cheesecake and doing an epic Easter roast! 😊

lifestooshort123 · 07/04/2020 13:27

Going to visit my children and grandchildren who I haven't seen for a month, have a picnic on the beach with them and end up drinking too much at a barbecue round at theirs with their neighbours.... not, I'm doing f**k all of the above (except drinking too much probably!).
