Universal Credit....linking claims.

DH and I used to claim UC but I got a job in September and we signed off.

My job ends on 16th April and I’m trying to reclaim UC except it won’t link DH with me nor offer an option for me to input the code they have generated to link the claims.

Anyone know how this works or am I going to need to join a massive phone queue? Do they have an email address? It won’t even allow me to use the journal as the “to do” list isn’t complete....which is the joint claim bit but I can’t complete that as it isn’t giving me any options.

DH has had all his work cancelled so has no income whatsoever at the moment. We will cope until mid-May as my final salary will come in before that but will need to claim UC after that hence I am trying to sort it out now.

Doesn't DH need to make his own account and sign in, then it should give him the option of linking to you?

If the code was generated by you, DH has to enter it in his account.
If you’re trying to enter a code DH generated in your account and it won’t work you need further help. Citizens Advice have a help to claim service for UC you could try contacting.
