Help with my iron please

Ceramic plate iron - I’ve burned the plate today (and ruined a pillowcase).

I thought I could use a Brillo pad but my DH thinks not.

Any ideas please.

Some things to try here. I have heard about the paracetamol one but never had to try any of them so can recommend a particular one. Good luck

Could you try a magic sponge?

Flibbitygibbit · 06/04/2020 22:10

So on Mrs Hunch tips are : toothpaste on plate, switch on and put the iron on steam on an old towel apparently it comes off, or white vinegar, the pink stuff, a lemon, and paracetamol 🤷‍♀️

Paracetamol held with tweezers so you don't burn your finger, rubbed all over whilst hot, then 'iron' on to an old tea towel.
Don't know the wizardry behind it but it works.

Will try these tomorrow. Thanks for the tips
