DS 18 - what to get him??

That’s it really. He’ll be 18 in May and we’ve no idea what to get him.

He isn’t sporty. Doesn’t wear a watch. No particular interests. We’ve asked him what he’d like. He says he can’t think of anything really - he’d just like a takeaway and a hug.

Help!!

Nice designer sun glasses or designer wallet🤷‍♀️

We got DBIL proper studs and cufflinks for his 21st. Might not wear them now but likely to need them in future?

Aww Bless him Smile
My DD is 18 soon and hasn't given me any ideas either . She'd like driving lessons but obviously not able to right now .

Would he like an ISA started off ?
I think they start off late April. There's loads on the Martin Lewis site .
You could start with a lump sum?
We won't be able to do a party or a meal out for DD (but she can have a pizza delivery and a hug Grin )

My DS is 18 in May too and he said he had no idea either! He was the same at Xmas and last birthday (we wanted to get him driving lessons but he wasn't keen). He sometimes wants Steam credit to buy games/in game stuff but not this time.

I just hope we are all here and still well in May.

Mine turned 18 last month, he's never grown out of Lego so we got him the dinosaur fossils set and put some money aside to go towards driving lessons when things are back to normal.

Brilliant ideas thank you. He’s the least acquisitive person I’ve ever met. He’s always been the same. It’s lovely but sooo difficult at times! Especially as he deserves so much.

Firehose wallet from Elvis and Kresse? Recycling, style and charity all in one go.

Mine was 18 last week...he was the same but has asked for gold necklace when corona all over. This knocked me for six he's never been into bling before!

He had three mates turn up standing 2m apart on the drive and sing him happy birthday followed by a can of cider with his mates at a virtual pub! Very modest...

lamppostdog · 07/04/2020 18:58

Got mine air pods and an Apple Watch. He doesn't normally wear a watch but he wears that one !

JudgeRindersMinder · 07/04/2020 19:02
