...to the things you really love, except for when you don't? My examples:

  • I love coffee...except when I think someone's likely to offer me instant. Then I'll ask for tea.
  • I love white wine...except when it's cold and wet. Then I want red.
  • I love swimming...except when the water's really cold, then you haven't a hope of getting me in.

Let's try to keep it light please!!

Love most shades of blue, but hate turquoise

RideaCockHorseOfCourse · 06/04/2020 18:27

Ah, I get that BikeRun, as it's got green in it!!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 09/04/2020 20:24

I've discovered another one - frozen veg.

I love vegetables, have them with every meal. Hadn't eaten frozen ones in decades though - probably since I left home. Had to have them tonight as running out of fresh and - bleauch!!! Vile. Horrid taste and the texture is all wrong v

I love tea - except when it's a crappy big box blend. I drink Earl Grey, Russian Caravan and very occasionally Lapsang Souchong

AmelieTaylor · 09/04/2020 20:46

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal you'll appreciate this one....

Low carbing except when I want carbs!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 09/04/2020 20:56

Hah, I get it @AmelieTaylor! My mum dropped off some rocky road brownies "for the kids" this afternoon. DD raved about them so much I had to have a bite - and having had a bite, they were so good I had to finish it off!

And I'd forgotten I did that, so I've just had a scoop of ice cream as my "treat"...Blush

I love my dh and dd except when I am on lockdown. (Ok love them really)
Love coffee hate coffee icecream.

Dilisk · 09/04/2020 22:56

@GrouchyKiwi, I’m exactly the same — I love tea, but on an empty stomach it makes me violently nauseated. Whereas I can happily drink coffee first thing in the morning with no ill effects...

Also, I love tea, but not if it’s made with tap water in a hard water area — revolting.

amiw · 11/04/2020 11:16

Love the smell of all citrus in perfume/bodywash especially grapefruit. Love to eat all citrus...... except grapefruit. Yuk Confused

Umnoway · 11/04/2020 11:21

I love croissants and pain au chocolat but only fresh ones.
I’d rather never eat chocolate again than eat cheap crap chocolate.

silenceofthemams · 11/04/2020 11:25

I love a cup of tea. But in a thick lipped mug? Absolutely no way. Thin lipped China cup only.

Love chili and rice. But bring that plated up with a ring of rice and a pool of chili in the middle? Absolutely not. Side by side only.

jelly79 · 11/04/2020 11:27

I love wine. Except when it's served in crap glass.

Womenwotlunch · 11/04/2020 12:05

Coffee, but only the cheap instant kind.
I don’t like any of the posh stuff

Womenwotlunch · 11/04/2020 12:09

I love chocolate, but detest chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate ice cream and chocolate milkshake

Blingismything · 11/04/2020 14:18

Alcohol yes, in food, no.
Fresh strawberries, yes please, strawberry flavoured goods, no.
Sponge cake/fingers, yes, in trifle or tiramisu, urgh no.
Tea, yes please if quality tea and freshly boiled water. I'll have nothing if cheaper tea and/or tepid or re-boiled water.
