Tonsillitis?

Late night about 9ish my tonsils are going up and then when I wake up in the morning, its at its worst. Usually fine throughout the day. I had tonsillitis once before and i got it really bad, couldn't swallow at all. Ive had this for a week tomorrow. Ive just checked and ive got white spots all over them. It hurts alot but not unbearable. I didnt think it could come and go but don't really want to bother the GP.

If you do half a teaspoon of salt in half a cup of warm water , possibly once an hour this should start to kill bacteria and help your throat.
I had the start of that for 2 days a couple of weeks ago , but used to get 2-3 times a year in my 20s and 30s I feel for you.also take paracetamol for pain and ibroprofen for inflammation every 4 hrs.

White spots sounds like it - especially if hard to swallow.
Deffo do the gargling !

Been gargling salt water as much as i can bare🤢 definitely got worse today, i dont want to waste 111s time and id feel guilty calling the drs in the morning, theyve got enough to do, it hurts and getting worse but its still not unbearable. Is it worth me just sucking it up and riding it out?
