What is the point?

We are being told to stay home yet still our government allows flight in from Italy, Spain and China with no checks.

To slow the spread, not wipe it out.

Those flights aren't full of jolly holidaymakers.

Bringing in people with potential virus is not slowing the spread!

Everyone is potential virus carriers now. It's fully endemic.

I agree op, its ridiculous. This is the one time i agree with closing the borders across the globe. Once one country is clear it will only take this crap to take the country back to square one!

Our NHS is begging us to stay home yet our government bring in more and more people to spread the virus. No checks just "ADVISED" to stay home. Bloody Outrageous!

I agree. Our one advantage of being an island. (and I am not a Brexiteer!) Coupled with the footage today of crowds in London, Brighton and Cambridge while the rest of us are trying to follow the 'rules' (and turns out it's bloody exhausting staying at home). It really does make you wonder what is the point (well, obviously I know what the point is, but still...)
