How much bubble bath do you add?

I’m not sure the product is called “bubble bath”, but the real name escapes me!

I’m having a rare bath and was struck, not really knowing how much of the Radox to add!

I’m a frugal person generally. I serve one baggie of microwave rice to two people, for example (a previous thread).

My DF would add almost all of a LITRE bottle to his baths when I lived with my parents.

I went with about half of the 500ml bottle, which felt a bit extravagant.

How much do you add?

Just a squidge

LuxuryWoman2020 · 03/04/2020 19:32

If you have a shower attachment just add a capful but hold the shower head at an angle and watch the bubbles froth. You'll get a proper bubbly bath.

MitziK · 03/04/2020 19:33

A quantity in the palm that would be too much for shampoo, not enough for sunblocking a wriggly redhaired child.

Michaelbaubles · 03/04/2020 19:33

Half a bottle! I add a capful, poured slowly into the running water that makes a lovely bubbly bath.

Spam88 · 03/04/2020 19:38

I'm pretty liberal with the bubble bath (I can afford to be given how frequently I get a chance to have one - last one was 2017 👍), but half a bottle of Radox is a lot 😂

Patterjack · 03/04/2020 19:38

You need to give it a mix as the water is running! Little squirt, mix it up with your hand or body puff thing.

Escapeistheonlyoption · 03/04/2020 19:38

Loads but my bath is massive and I like a lot of bubbles.

daisydalrymple · 03/04/2020 19:39

I probably get 5 or 6 baths out of a bottle.

Stet · 03/04/2020 19:40

A splodge

PamelaPupkin · 03/04/2020 19:42

Probably far too much. I like lots of bubbles. Probably half a cup (baking measure)?

But I pour it in very slowly so that it’s literally drizzling very thinly into the stream of the tap as the bath is filling.

bruce43mydog · 03/04/2020 19:42

I am usually not frugal so I always put a good generous pour in in capfuls its probably 6.

So half a bottle is probably a waste

cheeseandcrackers · 03/04/2020 19:42

A capful, as soon as you start running the water, swish it around and you'll have mountains of bubbles. Half a bottle is far too much

Haggisfish · 03/04/2020 19:43

About two or three capfuls.

bookmum08 · 03/04/2020 20:00

Like stet I put a 'splodge'. Or a big 'blob'. Or a 'glob' (which I am not sure is an actual word but I like the sound of it).
I like bubbles. Lots of bubbles. If I ever win the lottery I am going to hire the local swimming pool and put bubble bath into it.

Catforaheadrest · 03/04/2020 20:03

* update *

You’re all right! Massive error! That was waaaay too much. It didn’t click until I got to the actually-trying-to-get-clean stages. I found I was covered (hair included) in a layer of excess Radox slime and had to do any awkward slosh across the bathroom to the shower and stand shivering while that warmed up. Bollocks.

I had no warning from the bubble-levels. There was still a “meh” quantity of bubbles when I went to get in the bath. Turned out they were indestructible super-bubbles though.

A standard radix bottle lasts about 5 baths here

MrsIronfoundersson · 03/04/2020 20:07

MitziK I like your measurements and know exactly what you mean!

daisypond · 03/04/2020 20:07

About a capful. It depends if you’re in a hard water area or not.

Undercoverworker06 · 04/04/2020 13:26

As a bubble bath expert here, I can tell you that one capful (if no cap a good squish!) is plenty!
