How early is too early

Is it too early to hoover?
Normally I'd think nothing of running the hoover round before school run etc on my days off but now it is so quiet. No noise from neighbours at all yet (thin walled terrace). They'd hate me wouldn't they.

Yes. Give it a couple of hours at least. I’m sure you can do something else in the meantime. Try some dusting.

mogloveseggs · 03/04/2020 08:02

I've done all that already seriously I've turned into my mother
I shall leave it. Only problem is if I sit down and chill I'm very likely to lose motivation and the day will become one of no school work and endless Disney movies Grin

Ok, well that’s something you need to address. It’s really not normal that if you stop doing housework before 8am and allow yourself the slightest break you lose all momentum for the day.

It's perfectly normal for me, once I stop that's all motivation gone so I can see why OP wants to have everything done now.

Is there really a time limit for hoovering? I had no idea. I do mine at six sometimes.

Hairmystery · 03/04/2020 09:24

If it's a one off I don't see the problem. I would avoid doing before 8 on the regular though.

Bunnylady54 · 03/04/2020 09:31

I live in a semi so certainly wouldn’t hoover at 6am out of consideration for the neighbours. Rarely up that early anyway!

permana · 03/04/2020 09:34

After 9am during the week is acceptable I think.
Lawn mowing after 12 at the weekend please! Grin

mogloveseggs · 03/04/2020 09:37

Ooh now that's a step too far @permana
Lawn mowing? That's a dirty word in our house Grin

@plunkplunkfizz I don't have a problem but thanks for your advice.

@Lightofthephoenix glad you understand Grin

Early riser due to work pattern so on days off I just want to get it done before the kids come down then I can focus on them.
I would never internationally piss off the neighbours hence the asking and the waiting.
Everything is just a little more weekend at the moment isn't it?
