Schools restarting in September

How will this happen? My sons school has something like 1800 kids. Hygiene is non existent.

If they go back in September, how will they stay 6 feet apart? Will someone be walking around with sanitising spray?

There was a horrible virus going round in November/December, within 2 weeks 30% - 40% of children were off with it. This was just a ‘regular’ virus and it spread from one child to almost half the school in weeks.

Even if things stabilise now, surely once schools restart we’ll be back to square one? What will happen in winter with all the usual winter viruses going round. My husband is in the extremely vulnerable group and I’m terrified as it is.

My son would have been doing his AS exams and applying for uni this year. It’s all such a mess. The worry over his education and my husband’s health is making my depression and PTSD so much worse. And I was bragging about my stable mental health not too long ago!

I’m not sure what I’m asking or even saying. I need to clear my head. Nothing makes sense, my brain has turn to mush.

If your sons school had 30-49% of their students off sick they had a MAJOR problem and weren't addressing it.

I've got cleaners in my school deep cleaning and then locking up behind themselves. The area we are using for the small number we have in school is cleaned daily with particular attention to high touch areas.

I am confident that when we fully reopen the school will be 100% virus free.

No you cant socially distance in school, by the time we return it wont be necessary- we'll have been off for nearly 6 months by then.
