Need to rant. My DS birthday today. Nothing from his bloody useless twat of a dad. Not even a card. Blames the current situation. He lives next door to a post office. Bloody funky pigeon or moonpig mean he wouldn't have had to get off his lazy, selfish, cocking arse. When I say 'again' I posted about him spending 12 quid on my dd's Xmas presents. He's not skint. He just can't see beyond his own narcissistic fabulousness. He's all over FB saying what a fucking amazing dad he is. Well Where's his bloody present then, you nobhead?? I'm getting more cross as the day progresses. Thanks for the vent.

ffs, lazy twat

even an old fogey like me knows how to send gifts from Amazon or a zillion other Tinternet sites

Precisely. Poor little sod was sobbing on the sofa asking why his dad doesn't love him. He's going to remember this birthday for all sorts of reasons. He doesn't want to speak to him about it because he'll twist what my boy says. He's incredibly manipulative. Somehow it'll be my fault he says.

DS clearly has a phone... Does his dad think viruses can be transmitted through the phone signals?? No?? Then why not at least call for a chat on his birthday?? and/or post a letter if he couldn't buy a card...

BingPot99 · 04/04/2020 15:38

Some supermarkets even sell vouchers for other shops and online stores... Could easily put that in with a letter...

DS called him on his birthday morning, all excited. Was told 'because of the virus' he hadn't be able to go out and get anything. He was gutted.

I feel for your poor boy OP. My son’s dad is exactly the same, once took him window shopping before Christmas but didn’t buy him anything. This year no Christmas present and a text (2 days late) for his birthday. What are these ‘men’ thinking?

SuperMeerkat · 04/04/2020 17:03

Forgot to say, we sent DSD a 32 inch TV straight from amazon to her house last week for her birthday as we can’t see her right now. Totally possible.

His big sister sent him some new trainers that she ordered three days before, so can't blame a lack of time either. I have no idea what they're thinking. Not of their kids though.
