Is Halifax answering calls? - fraud

Yesterday I checked my online account and £165 had come out for Wish.
I’ve never ordered from them. When I called last night I went through all security checks and then had an automated message saying to call back today.
Once again went through security automated said an hour. I’ve let it ring for just over 2.5hrs (obviously on loud speaker while I curl up on the sofa and watching a film) but wondering if it’s worth staying on the line?
I’ve tried to contact Wish but no joy.
It’s a lot to come out of my account and I really don’t know what to do?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My oh works for rbs and it’s skeleton staff and taking 2 hours to get through to him so imagine Halifax are same, but obs this is important so check their fb or twitter ask if there’s an issue with phones and if there is another number you can call hope you get it sorted what a horrible thing to happen

They should still be open but will be running on whatever staff can go in (I work for another High st bank we’ve been open 10-2 to the public but we can’t deal with fraud so would refer you to the phone. From tomorrow we are staying on once branch closed to help support call
Centres and online queries so hopefully Halifax will be doing something else. Problem is call centres are obviously fairly squashed in so I would imagine lots of people may be off with symptoms or family members and then reduced desk space to maintain the 2 metre rule and you can’t use new staff or temps because of the data security issues and training times

OP at the start of this some selfish prick spent 2.5k using my credit card details. £1.5k at the Royal sodding Mint

It took ages to get through to Tesco as it was the weekend holidays were being cancelled.

It was stressful as my card was linked to lots of things like online Tesco groceries, DDs and I was left without a card when I needed it most.

The new card arrived within 5 days but it took 3 weeks - longer than usual - to get refunded and because the amount spent was so high I was scared to use card to buy food.

The same fucker also set up an EE telephone account with it which I also had to chase.
I wrote to them as couldnt face hanging on line.

There's some absolute trash out there.

Thank you all.
middleager that’s awful, Why do people do this, it’s so shit.
After over 3 hours I got through and they’re issuing me a new card and have refunded me the money. They were so helpful and I’m so thankful and happy.
