My ds is due to transfer mental health teams to another one in the town where we currently live. Will this still go ahead? He’s currently inpatient but likely to be discharged soon.

Why are you asking mumsnet?

Ring and speak to the ward or the community teams

I’m not allowed to without his consent. He’s not given it.

Unfortunately this is the catch 22 with mental health, the only way you will know is if they tell him it's going ahead and he chooses to inform you. The only other way is if he's due to be discharged to your care you would be allowed to contact the discharging team to see what they envisage the time scales for discharge are. (Not a mental health professional but have worked within adult mental health before)

Thank you. I would imagine it would be quite difficult to transfer someone. I know my friends child’s transfer to adult services has been delayed to due to virus. Granted this is a different situation.
