What are your plans for today?

Groundhog day here but feeling calm and grateful I'm not working today (key worker but on a rota).

My plan is
Get up soon, make sure kids eat something vaguely healthy eg not just biscuits. Feed pets, have coffee.

Bribe kids to get washed and dressed with promise of a creative activity this afternoon-not sure what though. Shower.

Homeschooling in the loosest sense for a couple of hours.

Lunch- probably a strange combination of stuff from the freezer.

Take kids for a walk to see the horses in the field down the road. Mystery creative activity.

Film on whilst I doze for a bit.

Cook dinner--???

Family board game.

How about you?

So far DP and I have had breakfast together and done Jimmy Carr's little quiz of the lockdown. He's gone to work (keyworker) and I'm wrestling my 6 month old to sleep. The rest of the day will be trying to keep him entertained, interspersed with races to clean the house. I swear they should make "cleaning the kitchen before baby kicks off" an Olympic sport

I'm looking after DSes (2 and 5). We've been learning about shops this week and today is newsagents, so we are going to make a newspaper about what we've been doing the last couple of weeks and make sweets out of playdough. I also need to be in regular contact with the parents of my SEN class on the iPad and find time to make a video of an activity idea to send to them. Might have to wait until DH gets home from working in Tesco (usually head office, redeployed in store) mid afternoon to do that. We've just come out of 2 weeks self-isolation yesterday so looking forward to our walk later.

I'm just enjoying my first cup of tea of the day. Once I've drunk that, I'll get dressed, make sure the girls are dressed and put the washer on (it's on it's last legs & very loud, no good for a peaceful cuppa!).

I'll help dd2 with her school work. She had a wobble yesterday so we had a gentle day of not much & will do it together today.

Dd1's run out of school work to do for the moment unless anything's been set overnight. So I'll probably get her to help a bit in the garden.

No idea what's for tea yet. I do have a couple of frozen pizzas, but not enough toppings for dd2 to make one that she will like I don't think.
