Karen Millen basket..... £350 (40% off everything, I've saved a fortune!)
Amazon basket.......£190
Monsoon basket......£380 (in my defence, there is a dress for DD in there and its 30% off everything, again I have saved loads!)
House porn basket.............£42.5 Million

Thank fuck my debit card will laugh hysterically if I tried to pay for any of these.

I am sweating haribo
I am saying fuck with gay abandon around my children.
I think chips can count as vegetables and also dairy as long as you make a butty with real butter on it

I need someone to do the adulting. Since I finished work (pub manager so the first to be furloughed) I'm a mess :o:o

Everytime the kids or DH gets on my nerves I add something extravagant to one of my baskets and longingly fawn over them before I go to sleep, only to discover tonight they had all timed out and emptied themselves. Gutted.

PyongyangKipperbang · 02/04/2020 01:18

No! I like a nice luxury brand because they keep your baskets forever in case you come back...which I do. I just never check out :o

My Rightmove saved properties looks like I'm a high flying multi millionaire - I have houses saved in Prague, NYC, Vancouver, Italy, Scotland, London, SAN Francisco, Iceland, Alaska, Montana...

I also regularly put ££££ worth of jewellery in a Tiffany's basket and like to look at expensive cars and designer handbags but never buy anything.

Oh and I need supervision because I recently dropped and smashed 6 eggs after DH had bought the last box in Sainsbury’s and accidentally threw away 2 full tins of dog food 😫

PyongyangKipperbang · 02/04/2020 02:02

Just remembered my Rolex basket, darent look as last time it was worth more than my house!

Might need to do a bit of Tiffany shopping......I like a nice big blingy overpriced diamond!

Re the eggs.....so sorry :(

I love the idea of collecting expensive stuff currently got a thing for motor homes bigger than my house but I am scared of it somehow getting processed without me knowing so I never put them in my basket .

I shouldn't be left alone because yesterday after several conference calls and zoom meetings I needed a coffee I couldn't find my cafetiere anywhere having only used it an hour or so before I gave up up after a bit this morning I found it in my freezer ! God knows why I put it there Confused

Deathraystare · 02/04/2020 07:25

House porn basket.............£42.5 Million

Presumably more than one house ...although you never know! Funnily enough , I texted a friend in reply to her asking how I was to say still working and will be dong a 'fantasy shop' including property porn! That riverside house will be mine!

Now off to look at designer gear that wouldn't fit me even if I could afford it!!!

potter5 · 02/04/2020 07:29

Thank you for cheering me up this morning. Actually laughed out loud!!

Frequency · 02/04/2020 07:32

Oh my baskets are all on over clockers UK and ebuyer. My new pc build will cost me £8500. £10K+ if you include the three 32 inch monitors, speaker system etc 😂

Back in the real work my computer will cost around £600, which is more than adequate since I'm not a gamer. It'll be used for Netflix and softwear development.

Icare1234 · 02/04/2020 07:59

Oooo I like this idea.

corythatwas · 02/04/2020 09:35

Loving this thread.

I have a garden basket (size of imaginary garden approximating size of the Lake District) and a tropical fish basket (all the downstairs will have to be flooded) but hadn't thought about houses...that is definitely an idea.

Plants and fish feel particularly safe as none of the outlets I look at are delivering at the moment.

Likethebattle · 02/04/2020 11:25

I have just saved a beautiful Cartier watch to
Look at...lottery watch!

iklboo · 02/04/2020 11:49

Timeforatincture · 02/04/2020 11:57

I've been buying art. Lots of art.

Affordable Art Fair a great fantasy website. Loads in my basket. Not sure what they mean by affordable though.

corythatwas · 02/04/2020 11:59

Art! Now that's a great idea!

MotorwayDiva · 02/04/2020 13:25

I'm browsing louboutins, the ones I'll wear to the office of the job I love, oh wait I don't have a job anymore 😔but can dream of beautiful shoes

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/04/2020 14:04

Thank you for much needed laugh.
I bought a basket for a £1 in Poundland a couple of weeks ago- might be a more economical option?

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 02/04/2020 15:05

I was caught writing a list for the betterware catalogue.. How have I managed nearly 50 years without their stuff I was asking myself as I filled in the form for bunion plasters ..just incase I ever get one? Or a fold away chopping board equally mesmerising..not to mention the shower cap that comes in polka dots....and the shoe scraping headgehog for when I can go out and run about in total ecstacy in the mud...ahh its a whole other world!!!

corythatwas · 02/04/2020 15:15

Technically I am supposed to be marking from home, but I am feeling slightly unwell today: constant light trembling/shivering and tight chest. Am getting a lot of comfort from this thread. Have decided to do a minimum load of work and then buy myself a beautiful house, plant the grounds and fill the interior with Kawase Hasui prints.

Cherrysoup · 02/04/2020 15:19

Tidying the kitchen yesterday, I opened the fridge to put in the toilet roll. Deary me. It very nearly went in.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 15:25

Happy Birthday Hadenoughofitall.

I started a blog which has various charges attached. I do not understand the charges, or what you receive for choosing the most expensive ones.

I went for the £36 a year one in the end, but they keep emailing me to ask if I want to upgrade.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 15:26

Oh, and a fortnight ago, there were still a few slots available for Tesco online delivery, so, having chosen one, I am now on their website hourly, trying to figure out what I DESPERATELY need.

(Disclaimer - I am not stockpiling. Just adding a good deal of gin and sherry to my basket.)

Rainb0w · 02/04/2020 15:33

I currently have half of selfridges in my basket... I mean it IS free delivery... That would justify cashing my house in for the beautiful handbags wouldn't it?

TrashPanda · 02/04/2020 15:40

I used to to help deliver and set up for a gallery that exhibited at AAF Battersea, I think the limit used to be 5K, not sure if it still is the gallery isn't open anymore. I've got 2 items that I bough there, one from the gallery I was with and the other from a different stand all together Grin

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 02/04/2020 15:42

I was also Shock at the expensive baskets!

I made my kids sing Kumbaya around an actual campfire last night. I kept giggling at what the neighbours were thinking. The kids want to go back to school ASAP.

PyongyangKipperbang · 02/04/2020 20:31

Tonight is Harrods.

We are shopping for handbags, shoes and the most outrageous pieces of home decoration.

I shall see you in the restaurant for champagne in 2 hours :)
