Where can I buy a freezer?

The seal on our big chest freezer has gone and apparently can't be replaced.
But I can't find any chest freezers for sale anywhere. We are eating the food as fast as we can but I'm a batch cooker and there are enough individual meals for weeks in there which I don't want to lose. I'm putting bricks on the top and it's chugging away to keep everything frozen but it isn't ideal.
Do freezers come from somewhere locked down? Has there been a run on them? Does anyone know where there's a supply? I'm after a five foot wide one, minimum A rated. Thanks

There’s been a huge run on them because of people stock piling food.

Surely you've got to be a loon to leave it so late and then buy a huge freezer? No wonder the shops suddenly emptied!
I should have guessed.
Does anyone know if the factories are furloughed or are there likely to be more freezers in the next few weeks? Thanks

AO have no chest freezers but have a number of upright freezers in stock.

Why are people loons to do what you've been doing for ages? Confused

Yes, there's been a run on them.

I would try and do the best repair I could. Being a chest freezer it'll be less affected by a poor seal at least. Maybe the seal from a different model cut to size, maybe a draught excluding product could be adapted.

DH went to buy a printer from currys (?) before the lockdown and the sales assistant said there's no freezers in the south west!!

Good luck.
