Can you get a really shallow (15cm) kitchen cupboard wall unit?

I want it for an alcove where we removed a chimney breast.
Thanks

Ikea do a tall shallow bathroom cabinet with plain white door - www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/godmorgon-wall-cabinet-with-1-door-high-gloss-white-60147513/ - sorry dont know how to do clicky links

I thought I had seen something like that on Diy kitchens but I can’t find it.

Could you buy the doors and have your kitchen fitter either make a carcass or cut down a full size one?

thanks. That's a good suggestion.
I may be better off looking for a plain bathroom cabinet than a kitchen cabinet as they are normally slimmer.

Yes, looking at bathroom furniture is your best bet, eg all of these are 15cm deep or less www.diy.com/departments/bathroom/bathroom-furniture-and-cabinets/bathroom-cabinets/130/140/150/_/N-rbdZ1z0srktZ1z0sqxpZ1z0sr3d

Hope you get one. DH made me one for a similar situation - perfect for herbs and spices!

SlinkyDogg · 01/04/2020 20:49

Thanks, we want to use it for herbs and spices as well.

We’ve got one. I think the joiner cut down a normal sized cupboard. As the pp says it’s brilliant for herbs and spices and bottles of baking flavours, that kind of thing.

I’ve got a cupboard like this in the kitchen that we use for herbs and spices. The kitchen was already here when we moved in, but I think it was from wicks.

Oh, I've misunderstood sorry. 15cm deep rather than wide.

The unit I was thinking of on Diy-Kitchens is called a stowaway, but it is only 100mm deep so not quite what you want. It is just the frame and doors so you would need to add shelves inside.

FrogFairy, those look great. Do you know how they are fixed to the wall? It doesn't seem obvious from the link.

I am not sure, there is nothing showing on the pics of the normal wall units either. I did find this link about the construction of the cabinets, the first blue circle on the top left described an adjustable bracket so assume this might be on the stowaway too.
