Why can't we do this next week?

3 families.....all live in same street.......all been self isolating for almost 14 days......all adults wfh , all kids playing/schooling from home......

Can we share childcare next week so some of us can complete our work without staying up all night?

Obviously everyone is asymptomatic!

@dietcoker the difference for doctors is they have to leave the house. They either share childcare or send children to nurseries/schools. In that situation sharing child care between a few households will probably spread the risk of disease less.

twinnywinny14 · 01/04/2020 18:45

@dietcoker you actually haven’t answered the questions though- have you been totally isolated and intend to be for the foreseeable future? If not then no you absolutely cannot mix. If it is working doctors you intend to mix with then it is particularly dangerous
@InDubiousBattle it is absolutely about making life easier, because working from home is hard as you’ve said yourself. I don’t blame anyone for being desperate but her suggestion is not only silly but dangerous!

Parker231 · 01/04/2020 18:46

No - households can’t mix. Stay at your own home.

@twinnywinny14 you're just trying to score points. What does it matter what my answer is to any of your questions if your answer to mine is still the same?

@dietcoker you can’t expect people to give an answer to your AIBU with half the facts. But you’re right it doesn’t change my answer because all you need to do is follow the clear government advice

dietcoker · 01/04/2020 19:16

Thanks @@twinnywinny14 love you!

Between all families not one of you has nipped to a shop for two weeks? No one has had a food delivery or had mail delivered. No one has walked a dog or went out a walk exercising? Of course you shouldn't do it and the fact your asking proves you know you shouldn't . As the police can now enforce this sort of thing I hope no one phones them on you.
