Does anyone know what time the Tesco slots are released each day? Is it midnight?

Just an update. Went on at 11.55 and was placed in a queue. Got a slot at 12.18 and was able to check out and pay without any problems.

I can't get anything on Tesco or sainsbury. Haven't been able to for last 3 weeks, or next 3 weeks.
Nothing. Angry

FourDecades · 02/04/2020 07:24

Have the supermarkets increased the amount of slots available? I keep reading that they intend too but it still is as difficult to get one.

Ifeel1000yearsold · 02/04/2020 07:24

The slots come out at midnight for exactly three weeks ahead. Go on a bit earlier and you’ll be places in an online queue. It worked for me last night. Good luck

We have people queuing up to help Tesco deliver but they need refrigerated vans to do so.

We do have an army of volunteers to fetch food for the elderly etc so it takes some pressure off.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 02/04/2020 07:42

Have the supermarkets increased the amount of slots available?

Each location will be different depending on resources (enough staff and facilities). Even so that doesnt guarantee you a slot.

Sainsburys has set up click'n'collect in two more stores near me (which is impressive i think). I havent been able to get a slot at either Grin

My Tesco delivery man on Monday had a trainee with him. I don't know how long it takes to be fully ready to deliver alone but they are definitely working on expanding home delivery.

flutterby31 · 02/04/2020 07:49

I got asda slots for click n collect at 11.30 last night and Tesco delivery for two weeks later at 00:05. Both times you're put in a virtual queue.

FairlowWonder · 02/04/2020 07:51

My brother and a a driver for them, he says he’s sitting around most shifts and probably could deliver to around 30% more people! He said the issue is people can’t pick and pack quick enough to fill the vans.

Aria20 · 02/04/2020 07:52

His long were you in the online queue for? I tried at midnight last night but gave up after half an hour as was too tired and had no idea where I was in the queue!

SouthWestmom · 02/04/2020 07:52

Oh I wondered this. Slots end mid April and no free ones even in the flexi section

SouthWestmom · 02/04/2020 07:54

Just checked . Ends 22 April and no availability. Ocado won't take new people registering. Haven't tried Sainsbury's

flutterby31 · 02/04/2020 08:05

Sainsbury's and Waitrose are only delivering to vulnerable people who can be verified

TheGirlFromStoryville · 02/04/2020 08:10

I got a slot for Asda for 2 weeks time.
I don't bother doing a shopping list til a day or two before delivery - just add a few bottles of spirits to reserve the slot then amend my order. Got 3 slots altogether booked over the next two weeks.

SistemaAddict · 02/04/2020 08:18

I got one around 1030 last night. Just before midnight there was a queue to get in and then nothing available. I had to check it wasn't a dream that I'd got a slot this morning! I was so relieved but now I'm worried now that it will be cancelled.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 02/04/2020 08:24

Although Tesco slots for 3 weeks ahead are released at midnight, they're also releasing slots throughout the day. I'm frequently checking their website, and over the past few days, on 3 or 4 occasions during the day, they've suddenly released a batch of slots for the following day, or a couple of days' time.

My parents grabbed a slot Sunday afternoon for Monday morning and had everything they wanted delivered. They then were able to get a slot on Tuesday for Wednesday and got shopping in for their elderly, housebound neighbours.

SouthWestmom · 02/04/2020 08:50

Also Iceland only doing vulnerable people

chocolateisavegetable · 02/04/2020 08:52

I read on another thread that some extra slots are released between 4.00 and 4.30 in the afternoon, but I can't confirm whether that's true!

Welcometothequiz · 02/04/2020 08:57

You def need to keep checking frequently, they just appear at random times and get snapped up super quick

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 02/04/2020 08:59

There's no defined time that they're released. Sunday it was 3.30 but Monday it was a different time altogether! Just keep refreshing the page (not just clicking within the dates window), then scroll around.

GoldenRuby · 02/04/2020 09:00

I got in the Tesco queue at 1154 last night, got through at 1217 but no slots left for home delivery or click & collect. Lots of people must have all been doing the same as me where I live, so I'll have to get in the queue earlier tonight.

TVandwine · 02/04/2020 09:10

I logged on at midnight too. Got straight on and got a slot for a couple of weeks away. There were lots of slots free.
