Help!!! Google has put my emails on shared tablet

I signed into my partner's tablet with my Google play account so I could play games on there. However it has synced my emails and I can sign out or remove them. I need them gone as he knows I'm on here and we've had a few problems that I have posted about under different names. If he found them I'd be in very deep shit. I need to get either all my Mumsnet history gone or I need to get my Google account off this bloody tablet. Please anyone help. I tried to follow the instructions online but I can't find the sign out bit. Getting very worried he will find out.

If you tap your name in the corner, does log/sign out not appear?

Can you just change your password for your Google account? It should lock your account out of his tablet.

Go to the top right circle

Press manage account

Go into secure account - see number of devises your signed in on

Remove from iPad

I can get to manage account and then I have Home Personal Information tabs etc. But no sign out. I will change password and see if that makes a difference

I found the option to unsync Gmail, hopefully this doesn't vary by device!

Go into the Gmail app
Tap the letter in the top right hand corner
Select 'manage accounts on this device'
Tap on your account
Tap on sync
Turn off the toggle next to Gmail.
