So Asda, Mortisons, Tesco, Ocado have no slots.

When do they get released?

I got a Tesco one for 3 weeks at midnight- Asda, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s not offering any where I live.

Where I am slots are only for the vulnerable or elderly for all the supermarkets. They are apparently offering click and collect but there have been none available for weeks.

Overseasmom100 · 31/03/2020 15:41

oh i see - I thought they were releasing them as and when

Tesco release a day of slots for 3 weeks from the date it’s booked at midnight every night.

People are clearly staying up to book them as there are online queues to get on at that time, by normal morning time they are all gone.

I have an alarm set to try and get one for 3 weeks from now, we’re shielding (extremely vulnerable) and as far as I can tell Tesco aren’t yet prioritising vulnerable customers for slots. Also we have some very restricted dietary requirements (for medical reasons), and I want to avoid depending on asking volunteers to pick things up as I don’t want to feel demanding with things like “only this type, can’t contain xyz” and so on. Our council are doing emergency supplies deliveries to the extremely vulnerable which is brilliant, unfortunately we are unlikely to be able to eat a lot of it and I’m absolutely not complaining but it just means that it may or may not be a safety net for us in that regard - although apparently in the coming weeks they may start tailoring them.

I've looked daily and haven't even found click and collect anywhere, let along delivery! I'm in London, so have a vast choice, but even if I drove 20mins out of London, there are no slots anywhere.

My daughter got one for three weeks time about 12.20 last night.

MrsH2002 · 31/03/2020 16:06

At lunchtime today I got a Tesco slot for my mum for tomorrow afternoon. I’d been refreshing all day yesterday and today and some suddenly appeared for tomorrow.

champagneplanet · 31/03/2020 16:07

I also noticed slots for tomorrow on Tesco at lunchtime today, none for any other day though.

HasaDigaEebowai · 31/03/2020 16:11

I got an Asda one this morning for elderly and vulnerable PIL. The whole of this Friday was suddenly free. I suspect they suddenly had an employee returning to work/extra van availability.

By the time I'd whacked in an order for them all the other slots that day were gone.

whitesoxx · 31/03/2020 16:13

Asda released ours at midnight last night for 2 weeks ahead

redmimi · 31/03/2020 16:17

I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep last night so thought I'd try my luck. At 2am I managed to get a slot with Morrison's on 21st April.

digerd · 31/03/2020 17:02

I managed to get a slot this early afternoon for tomorrow later evening.
My shopping list was still there from last time I tried so went straight through to checkout before I lost it.

Oddly enough, I had not been able to search for food at Ocado, but when I got an -e-mail from them it had a Tesco name and number??

I am under the vulnerable and housebound and have already received my letter from NHS and GP, but Ocado and Sainsburys did not have any info.
I still can't believe Tesco suddenly released slots for tomorrow late afternoon.
Bet they've all gone . Perhaps they had received my status so the slots appeared only on my pc.
I was in a panic.

Just took the advice on here , 12.25 am didn't get a delivery slot but a click and collect slot for April 21st at Tescos.

Petiolaris · 01/04/2020 00:55

Tesco books three weeks in advance but doesn’t always release at midnight. A couple of days ago it was 10.30pm. Tonight it was 12.13am. Last week there was one day where they were more than 24 hours late in releasing the slots. You just have to keep checking. The slots sell out in literally 60 seconds so you need to be on the app at the right time.

If you miss out on a delivery slot try looking at click and collect for all dates. Often people book a c&c slot but if they later manage to get a delivery slot they cancel the c&c slot and it becomes available.

Willow4987 · 01/04/2020 01:00

Morrison’s normally book for 3 weeks out and for my next slot (14th) I had to get that at 4am (I’m up feeding a newborn otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get it

However I’ve had an email from Morrison’s saying their delivery service is changing and they arent releasing slots past the 16th and the new service launches then as well so will have to wait and see what that brings

megletthesecond · 01/04/2020 01:00

I've just booked Tesco for the 21st.
