So better than dying but not much for a fairly image conscious middle aged woman......
I went for my dental implant for a front tooth that was smashed accidentally and couldn't be saved and was just about to go back for the temporary crown they put on while the whole thing heals before they put the main crown on in 3 months and......lockdown.
So now I have no front tooth.
It would not be so bad if I was in isolation at home but I work full time in the NHS.
If I hear - what happened to your tooth nurse one more time they will be donating one of theirs for free.
I haven't smiled broadly for weeks.
And now blond highlights are growing out. We are returning to mediaeval times Hmm
Anyone else?

My mIL is so worried about her hair, she’s 75 in amazing shape, hair has been beautiful brown all the time I’ve known her, hairdresser every week. She’s most pissed off about this whole thing.

I’m missing garden centres. I love a garden centre mooch.

madcatladyforever · 31/03/2020 07:50

God yes garden centres. I was going to give my new garden (just moved house) a massive overhaul this summer.

My nails. I usually have really long acrylic nails and I've had them for so long that I can't cope with short nails, it feels really odd and I can't type properly. I can't wait to have my long nails back. Angry

The Range was supposed to be opening in our old Homebase over the Easter weekend. I've been waiting for a long, long time. Previously I had to ask DM to go to her one and pick things up (or wait until we went to visit), and the thought of having one just down the road was so exciting!

We already have 2 B&Ms nearby, so my disappointment is even more ridiculous...

QuimJongUn · 31/03/2020 08:10

Not being able to get M&S houmous. Our nearest is in town, a bus ride away. Aldi houmous just doesn't cut it.

Also all the shops I went into beifre lockdown had sold out of my favourite conditioner - my hair is very temperamental and with the one in using I look like I'm plugged into the mains.

Happily I have four boxes of my usual hair dye in (I'm always worried it's going to be discontinued so I keep a stock of it). So at least I won't look like a badge plugged into the mains!

That hotel chocolate is doing a limited range of only 26 items on their website - and only 7 Easter related chocolates and they have chosen the more expensive ones compared to yesterday 🙄

VenusClapTrap · 31/03/2020 08:20

We had builders in doing the family bathroom. We were two days away from finishing, and then lockdown happened, so the whole family are cramming into our en-suite and will be doing for the foreseeable.

My mobile valeter can’t come so I had to learn how to wash the car myself.

Such first world problems! 😬

VenusClapTrap · 31/03/2020 08:26

By the way, those missing garden centres - you can get everything you need online. Try Harrod Horticultural for equipment and the RHS has a list of superb nurseries here:

@madcatladyforever you can buy something on Amazon called Creadent. It is a material you dissolve in water that you can then form into a tooth to fill a gap. I had a similar problem though my missing crown was a side tooth rather than a front one. It takes a bit of effort to get it right but once you do it makes you feel less self conscious.

SQuueze · 31/03/2020 08:46

@madcatladyforever sand @VenusClapTrap my local lovely family garden centre is doing their best with delivery. But I miss the wander round.

Enko · 31/03/2020 08:50

I knocked my glasses and they hurt the bridge of my nose when wearing them. I can not get it right myself. Usually my optician would fix it in a few minutes but obviously cant get to them

TSSDNCOP · 31/03/2020 13:44

I need 10kg dumbbells I meant to grab some from the school gym before lockdown and forgot.

Wired4sound · 31/03/2020 14:08

No hair or nail appointments.

Really missing coffee shop coffee.

AlphaIndigo · 31/03/2020 14:14

@PippaPug There are a few hotel Chocolat Easter bits still available on the John Lewis website
