Childminders and Covid

Does anyone know what the position is for childminders at present? Is there any help available to them from the government if they lose their income due to children not attending?
DH and I are having a ‘discussion’ as I’d prefer to to continue to pay our CM but not send the children? It’s usually only 1 day a week and DH and I are both getting full pay anyway. I’m a keyworker but still working but DH is staying at home with the children.

The current situation is that no money will be paid till June at the earliest and then it's 80% based on the average from the last 3 years net profit.
I'm a childminder. I'm a single parent. The risk to my own children if I carried on working was too high to carry on so I've had to close my doors. I'm not charging while I'm closed. Some are charging half fees and some are charging full fees. There is no standard as we all have different contracts and morals.
Talk to your childminder. It's a stressful time for everyone. Be kind.

Thanks Bonkerz
Our CM is a single parent too, I want to pay her as normal but was slightly worried that it would affect anything the government might give her, DH is tight and doesn’t want to pay for something he’s not getting Angry
