We message via WhatsApp but u understand that has a limit of four (we are 5/6).

Sort of managed a Zoom a couple of days ago, with other Laydeez 😂 we managed to get all of us 'live' across the top of the screen but on our second 49 mins, we couldn't. I 'joined' Zoom but not sure if you have to; we all had the meeting code.

What will be the simplest one, given we're not particularly techie?!

Google Hangouts?
FB messenger (tho don't think one is on FB)?
Persevere with Zoom? Despite its 40 mins meetings?

What would you recommend; does it have a tutorial?

Ta.

We’ve been using Zoom for chats and exercise classes. You can get nine people on one screen and swipe to see more. It’s not ideal and conversation is a bit stilted because people can’t use the social cues of normal conversation, but it’s better than nothing.

WhatsApp appeared to work,3 of us.

Whatsapp doesn't have a limit of four. That's just for video calls on the app.
You can have hundreds of people in a whatsapp group.

I don't know wtf 'laydeez' are though.

Someone said they'd used Zoom, but hadn't been limited to 30 or 40 minutes. Could that be because someone had the paid-for version?

@Miljea yes, the 40min limit is removed when you have a paid account. It costs $14.99/month, so the UK price is probably £10 or £12/month. That’s well worth it for your large group to have a group call once a week or more. You can also record your calls easily then too.

To get everyone up on screen, each person on her computer can switch the viewing to “Gallery View” from “Speaker View” in the upper right hand corner. There’s a small icon there.

Thanks!

Have decided we'll try Google Meet first, then Zoom if need be (again).
