Able and Cole account you’re not using?

Hi, I know it’s a long shot but has anyone registered for Able and Cole but aren’t using it? Would you be willing to give it up?

It’s for my elderly MIL who is by herself. We can’t get any online shopping. DH is shopping for her and driving to take it to her. If he gets ill I don’t know what we will do as I don’t drive.

Able & Cole won’t accept new accounts but we think will accept change of address and payment of old ones!

I’m sure everyone is using theirs, or has an elderly friend or relative they’d give it too. If you haven’t though would you mind pm me?

Thanks

They are not letting anyone who has an account and hasn't ordered anything in the last week or two use it at the moment. Just processing those who have orders in place. Have you tried local farm shops? Some are delivering.

Thanks so much Helen. Ah, I see.

Yes, we have tried everything we can think of. It’s the same with local delivery’s-all only delivering to people who already have the contract.

We are in London. She’s in another part of london.

I’ve got an A&C account but haven’t ordered since November and they won’t let me order anything

Hi op where in London are you? I'm south east and managed to order a fruit and veg box as a new customer with a local supplier. There are also local groups who will shop for the vulnerable check out your local Facebook groups

SignOnTheWindow · 30/03/2020 17:31

We have a community group set up round here to help with shopping on behalf of people who can't leave the house. I've just done a shop for a couple who live in the retirement flats down the road. Could there be anything like that near your mum?

Such good thoughts. Thanks. I might start another post with her area in it.

It’s my MIL and my partner, her son, can deliver at present. We are worried that if we get locked down, or if he gets ill, we will have nothing in place.

He’s in a local WhatsApp group but I’m going to try and get on the local FB.

Thanks all so much.
