Bad stomach bug circling too

Last week my cousin put on Facebook she had been throwing up all night. About 10 other locals confirmed they had or other people had also had it. Everyone sort of agreed they had it bad. They had been working etc though as we wasnt locked down.

My sister has been home for 10 days now apart from popping to feed the cows at her partner's farm. She's not mixed with anyone. she's had food delivered. That's it. She lives with her son's and partner.

She was up all night with a nasty vomiting bug and bad stomach. She still can't keep water down this afternoon. She's really poorly.

I said it was strange as she's had no people contact and she's only been home or in a field. I asked if it could be something from the farm or food poisoning. She said everyone ate the same and it's only her. My mum has just phoned and said itl be the same thing everyone else has had. When I tried to say she's had no contact with anyone for days and days (we all know how sick bugs are spread) my mum disagreed with me. So maybe I'm wrong....but I'm sure sick bugs start within 24-72 hours after exposure.

I'm worried now that food packaging etc could have stomach viruses on and is being delivered to people. This is abit of a worry on top of coronavirus. It seems very odd to me she is this unwell?

I had what sounds like this two weeks ago, it took a week to recover enough to eat and I’m only just getting my appetite back now. Horrible stomach cramps too. I had been at a wedding on the Saturday and it started on the Sunday night.
