It feels weird going outside

I haven’t left the house since March 14th. I haven’t needed to. DH and adult DS have been going out for a run/cycle most days so they’ve picked up essential shopping then.

Now I have to go out to pick up elderly MILs medications (DH and DS are both WFH so can’t leave the house at a time the pharmacy is open) and leave them on her doorstep and I am feeling really nervous about it.
It’s amazing how quickly I’ve adjusted to not leaving these 4 walls.
I don’t really know why I’m posting - procrastinating maybe?

I've covered 2 lunch times at work so far, to give teaching staff a break, & travel on foot.

It's very strange walking there and back on pretty much empty streets.

I do need to go to the local shop today for loo rolls and milk - that's a trip I'm not looking forward to.

I felt quite panicked about doing the supermarket trip last week - I was in and out so quickly as it just felt horrid! The only time I don't mind being out is 5am to walk the dog as there is absolutely no-one about at all. Those are the only two things I'm doing at all!

It's definitely weird.

I hope I don't have to self-isolate because I'd really miss walking the dogs every day.

I went out this morning to collect my prescription from Boots. Didn't need to press the button on the pedestrian crossing as there were barely any cars. And this is a busy London suburb!
