My dad was in the Royal Air Force before he passed. I'm not in the military myself, but I like the motto and it has given me strength many a time:

"Through hardships to the stars"

What are you proud of doing, saying or being during this challenging time as a mum?

Started this thread to help my own self-esteem apart from anything else, perhaps also give us a laugh...

For starters:

Yesterday, I got through the WHOLE day without losing my rag...
all best

I haven't overeaten yet and I've been exercising a lot.
However I've been drinking rather more than usual. Aiming for 3 sober days instead of 5 these days...

I gave up alcohol for lent, and I've managed to stick with it despite lockdown situation. Probably helps that I've now got a streaming cold so don't fancy it anyway.

I also tidied all the teenagers rubbish out of the home office and made it a nice place to work in.

I haven't murdered my husband yet.

My toddler still thinks that the lockdown is great fun as Mummy and Daddy are both home all day.

I worked 60hrs as a nurse and about 10 hours as a teacher last week (just finished a night shift and back tonight for another one), and am still alive and haven't cried in front of anyone.
Also, didn't murder my DH even when I came home from a horrible 13hr shift (that I left late) to discover there were no clean cups because he hadn't put the dishwasher on or washed up. My hands really really hurt from washing them all the time, so I cried from the pain of washing up the cups as well as the frustration of that on top of the shit day.

oh well done everyone especially you hippo
I'm taking everyone's bins out in our block of flats with gloves and disinfectant spray. Figured some of us having health issues worse than mine may not be able to do it right now.

I’ve supervised my husband with all the painting of our hallway 😆 I also painted the skirting boards perfectly (i’m short so I get the low down work!!) Also, i’ve lost 5lbs just by not snacking and by not drinking alcohol.
