I've done some today from YouTube. Really relaxing. Plus I've got a bit stiff lately and it's helped.

I've just emailed the desk links to my work email to try later, thanks! When I get concentrated on work I sometimes get bad shoulders/neck, stretches definitely help.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 30/03/2020 11:23

Hah! Great minds think alike @incognitomum!

incognitomum · 30/03/2020 11:27

I'd done both yoga and Pilates periodically in the past, and had just restarted Pilates (unfortunately a very advanced class for me, so somewhat glad it had to stop 😊)

I've managed a YwAdrienne about 3 times in the past 2 weeks, I know I should do more but at least it's some movement.

CryHavoc · 30/03/2020 11:43

I've never done yoga before (am 38) and started 30 Days with Adriene last week and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long.
I feel stronger, I love the headspace it gives me, and my tight runner's calves are already feeling better.

I hope it helps Errol
I was surprised how effective such a short session was, and I have recommended it to several colleagues too.

@incognitomum yes I do have IBD,
I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Will have to do some research!

ErrolTheDragon · 30/03/2020 12:11

I'm intending to give them a try and then probably will circulate the links.Smile

incognitomum · 30/03/2020 12:36

@GoldBoo yes it may do?

Yes! My family have a studio and we've built our own online platform but I've also been supporting my local studio (live in different city) with yoga and pilates.

I really would urge you if it's possible with your financial situation to consider supporting some of your local teachers, lots of these are self-employed and their income has just disappeared overnight.

But either way enjoy your yoga! 🙏

bengalcat · 30/03/2020 15:09

I do Pilates at home . I have some kit as bought a Pilates pack ages ago and can remember the exercises the teachers at my gym did . Miss going though - never mind it will reopen and at least they’ve temporarily cancelled monthly subscriptions .

I do various youtube yoga classes, at least one a day at the moment. As well as Adriene, I like Yoga with Kassandra, and Cole Chance. They both have loads of beginner practices, as well as more advanced ones and you can search by length, or style.
Namaste!

ErrolTheDragon · 01/04/2020 11:23

I did another of the adriene vids this morning. I've not worked out how to navigate YouTube on the tv via AppleTV but the first choice was a morning one so I just went with that. It was nice, nothing too hard. Smile

Otterses · 01/04/2020 11:26

Place marking for later - so bloody stiff with all this hunching over a laptop trying to work from home.

Toddler DS and I have been doing those daft toddler yoga ones Grin rather enjoyed the we're going on a bear hunt one.

Me!! Going to read back through the thread now - can see there are some great links

ErrolTheDragon · 01/04/2020 11:32

I've not yet tried the desk yoga links upthread but they may be what you need first.
I wfh writing code anyway, taking breaks is important- set a timer at 10 to the hour if you tend to get engrossed.

incognitomum · 01/04/2020 12:34

I've done some exercises with elastic bands today and will do some yoga later.

@ErrolTheDragon glad to read you're still doing it Smile

In the event I found it a bit hard to stick to doing YouTube yoga, but now my lovely Pilates instructor has begun zoom classes - first one this morning.Smile
