Does anyone know what happens when you are able to access the actual shopping bit after waiting in the queue?

I read somewhere that you only have ten minutes to add what you want to your basket then checkout. Is that right?

I don't know but I'm in the queue, not even sure I can get what I need online but I have to try!

BitchHazel · 29/03/2020 16:35

I've been sitting with the page open for nearly two hours now.

What's odd is that there are fewer people in front of me now than there were when I tried this morning when the waiting time was only 20 minutes. I fell asleep and lost my place Sad

If you find out OP let us know

Wearenotyourkind · 29/03/2020 16:38

I managed to get to the front of the queue yesterday to order stuff from Boots. I reckon I was definitely browsing for more than 10 mins, so don't think that's true. Good luck Smile

BitchHazel · 29/03/2020 17:02

Thanks, 45 minutes left. I got a tad over excited when it changed from "over an hour" to 58 minutes Grin

I will report back soon!

Good luck OP. Mine's said 'more than an hour' since before I posted at 16:20 and it still says the same... I think I'm in for a long evening!

BitchHazel · 29/03/2020 18:39

Well that was a fruitless endeavour. Everything I wanted was either out of stock or marked unavailable because of restrictions.

They could put a notice up on the homepage to let you know that before you waste three hours in their queue.

For anyone wondering, you can't buy any makeup at all and most of their other products are out of stock. Hair accessories including basic bobbles, kirby grips and clips, fragrance, electrical items etc. There are more.

Looks like I'll be bare-faced for the forseeable!

Zelda its still letting me browse. Do you want me to check for anything for you to save you a wait?

It's a bit of a pain. I have been looking for nursem hand cream and queued online twice only to find it out of stock.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 29/03/2020 18:47

Bless you, that's really kind, yes please. The main thing I need is DS's eczema-friendly cream. If they've got any aveeno at all, or Child's Farm as a back up, I'll keep waiting in the queue. Mine still says more than an hour!

dementedpixie · 29/03/2020 18:49

What do all you thousands of people want to buy from boots that make you all sit in the queue?

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 29/03/2020 18:50

That's what I can't work out, pixie

dementedpixie · 29/03/2020 18:52

I just had a look and this is where I was in the queue 192249!!! Wtf are you all buying??? I have come out the queue now, dont worry

chocolatespiders · 29/03/2020 18:54

@ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule which aveno is good please. NHS front line and my hands are really wrecked. I have childs farm but it is not cutting it at the moment.

dementedpixie · 29/03/2020 18:56

I have this and it seems good. I bought it from Savers I think

We use the blue aveeno for DS, sometimes the green. To be honest, they're all good.

Though for my hands I find the neutrogena hand cream really good.

Greendin · 29/03/2020 19:12

Once you get in you can have as long as you like but don't expect fast delivery, my expected delivery date is ten days after I ordered.

Moofart · 29/03/2020 19:17

I finally got to the front of the queue but fell asleep and lost my slot!

chocolatespiders · 31/03/2020 06:03

Thanks @dementedpixie I have bought that hand cream and it has really helped my poor hands.

Might try some of the body range now Smile

voxnihili · 31/03/2020 07:41

@chocolatespiders - I have terrible trouble with my hands at the best of times but they are horrendous now. I find Nivea soft (white tube) the best out of everything I’ve tried. Like you, Child’s Farm just isn’t cutting it at the moment.
