The man plus shoes and cones are 19 (5+10+4)
1 cone is 2
5 + 19 x 2

MULTIPLY FIRST

5 + 38 = 43

Actually 48 after realising single cone is 2.

So 29 x 2 = 58 + 10 = 68

@VaggieMight, you need to use Bidmas so multiplication before addition.

@VaggieMight, this is how I’ve worked out the bottom line. I’d be interested to know how your friend did it.
But then it’s little man (5) + 2 cones (4) + 2 boots (20) = 29. 29 x 2= 58. 58 + 10 (other boot) = 68

A pair of shoes is 10 not 20

Last line is 1 pink shoe (5) plus man (5) wearing pair of pink shoes (10) holding two bags (2 x 2) is 24 x bag (2) = 48?

Oh no I went back and looked at the thread and see multiplication takes priority over division - i worrying don’t remember that, thought it was only if brackets whoops.
