Is anyone or does anyone know of someone who has a salicylate allergy?
My 9 month old DD had quite a bad reaction to strawberries around a month ago, projectile vomiting, diarrhoea, bad tummy for a few days, we left it a few days and tried again to check if it was the strawberries. This time it was the same but was quite poorly and unsettled for 4 days.
Last week she was accidentally given a strawberry wafer, same reactions but this time her bottom was swollen, rashed and blistered, I contacted GP, sent photo's and they confirmed it looked like allergic reaction and gave some cream.
Today we gave DD some blackberries and within minutes her face, back and chest was in a lumpy rash.
When I have researched her symptoms they relate to salicylate intolerance.
I am going to ring GP on Monday and ask for some advice.
Does anyone have any advice or experiences please?
Sorry for long post
