Help! Save my soup!

I made leek and potato soup last night (Felicity Cloak’s recipe) and for some unknown reason, used 3 LARGE potatoes instead of medium. What is usually a creamy, savoury but sweet, really moreish soup is now a glutinous bowl of liquid potato.

I really hate waste - how can I save it? What do I add??

Add more stock, milk or water until is the right consistency. Add a bit at a time not all at once. You may also need to add more seasoning.

Milk! I never would have thought of milk.

Milk saved the day 😁😁 I should have taken a picture, but we devoured it. Milk, and a generous amount of fine ground pepper. Thanks Zillerdy!

Glad it worked out! Milk would have been my first option, but in these times I have no idea what people have in their homes.

I too am a fan of Felicity and love trawling through the comments online. There are some very amusing regulars on there.
