Autistic dd isn’t well- advice needed!

My 24yr old dd (who has autism and adhd) hasn’t been well this week and I’m not sure what to do now! She is very constipated and hasn’t had a bowel movement since last Thursday. She is also only passing urine about every 12 hours (sometimes even less than that). I have given her milk of magnesia and senecot (not sure if that’s how you spell it) but that hasn’t made any difference. I can’t get through on the phone to make a gp appointment- there’s a message saying they’re experiencing high call volumes. She doesn’t have a fever, she is just very uncomfortable. I’m not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!

Is she taking fluids? She sounds dehydrated.

Weird how your GP has high call volumes.

Most Gp surgeries are like ghost towns now.

Ring a pharmacy. They’ve relaxed rules on dispensing without prescription and they should be able to help.

And up her fluid intake.

Is there a reason why she's not drinking or is she drinking and still not peeing very much?

If you can get to a pharmacy then they can sell you some glycerin suppositories for her to use. Would she be able to insert one by herself?

Movicol would work more effectively if you can buy it. I'm not sure if it's prescription only.
