What are you having for lunch?

Now there are people in the house at lunchtime! We have been self isolating for 10 days due to DS symptoms so have had food dropped off when people can. Lots of using up of leftovers...
Inspire me with what you’re having for lunch.

Potato salad and pitta sandwiches at the moment. Starchy.

jess3817 · 27/03/2020 11:44

Carrot, red pepper and lentil soup - some carrots and peppers were going funny last week so made a big batch up and stuck it in the freezer

SilverOtter · 27/03/2020 11:48

Sausage rolls, bread and butter, apples, cheese.

InsaneProbably · 27/03/2020 11:50

Nothing very inspiring here: ryvita with ham, a boiled egg, an orange and coffee for me.

Boireannachlaidir · 27/03/2020 11:51

Home made spinach & ricotta lasagne with a lovely colourful crunchy side salad.

CremeEggThief · 27/03/2020 11:53

I'm having scrambled eggs on toast and DS will have a jacket potato with cheese, pesto and spinach today.

HollySideEyes · 27/03/2020 11:54

Jacket potatoes, beans, cheese, lettuce, onion.

vampirethriller · 27/03/2020 11:56

Butternut squash and carrot soup, wraps with ham and Philadelphia, cucumber, and scones with crab apple jelly.

GatoFofo · 27/03/2020 11:57

Homemade soup and some bread. Nice to have time to cook (and to use up the wilted veg)

RosieSunset · 27/03/2020 11:59

Noodles, leftover chicken and red pepper stir fry.

BarkandCheese · 27/03/2020 12:02

DH will have porridge because he’s working from home and that’s what he always has for lunch at work (weird I know), DD will have a sausage roll, crisps and salad bits and I’m going to have last nights spag Bol left overs with extra grated cheese on top.

ritzbiscuits · 27/03/2020 12:02

Bacon rolls today! I had a pot noodle yesterday!

MsChatterbox · 27/03/2020 12:18

We always have a sandwich, Crisps and fruit

champagneplanet · 27/03/2020 12:23

Sausage sandwiches, once the bread has defrosted! Ongoing theme in this house at the moment!

Littlefrizz123 · 27/03/2020 12:35

Kids are having leftover toad in the hole with veg and mash and I'm having a bacon sandwich, not very exciting but think a week off isolation (DP is vulnerable) is starting to get to us and everyone is a bit grumpy today.

NothingIsWrong · 27/03/2020 12:36

Back of the fridge soup, which is basically everything that is on the turn. And bread.

Pastaforall · 27/03/2020 12:37

Lasagne leftover from tea yesterday.

Sexnotgender · 27/03/2020 12:37

Quesadilla made with leftover black bean chilli. Was delicious

tiredanddangerous · 27/03/2020 12:37

A bacon roll

AliciaWhiskers · 27/03/2020 12:39

Adults probably some soup that got made earlier in the week. DS1 probably pasta (he rarely eats anything else). DS2 probably cheese on toast.

Zisforstripyoss · 27/03/2020 12:39

Pitta pizzas. Made it an educational activity - got my oldest DC to write the instructions and youngest DC to follow them to make them! Currently eating them whilst watching Chester zoo live feed.

Adviceneededplease9 · 27/03/2020 12:41

Ham salad sandwiches, some kabanos, some chopped melon, a small handful of crisps and half and apple.

CloudyVanilla · 27/03/2020 12:41

A slim fast shake for my fat post partum butt 😫

My kids are pre school age anyway but I weekly prepare them pack lunch style lunches with protein like cocktail sausages/fridge raiders, cheese, yoghurt, 2 random fruits, raisins, crackers and a 2 little treats, usually a little cake type thing and one of those Yo Bear pure dried fruit sweets.

Sproglets · 27/03/2020 12:43

Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast. Because I'm well posh!

sockittome123 · 27/03/2020 12:43

Just had some leftover pasta from last night - it wasn't particularly nice as it was straight out of the fridge (forgot to get it out earlier) but it was edible Grin
