What would you choose

Ok so a bit of a lighthearted game, just imagine during this lockdown or whatever you want to call it we were only allowed to eat 2 things, nothing else what would they be?
I'd choose basmati rice as I could just eat rice all day and pickled onion monster munch Grin

What would you choose, think wisely especially if it's for 12 weeks.

Too late now-your choice is made. Grin You went for all savoury.

YakkityYakYakYak · 27/03/2020 09:34

Pizza and ice cream

Mixitupalot · 27/03/2020 09:54

Carbonara all day long & fifteens ... I’d be super overweight at the end!

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 27/03/2020 09:56

Homemade soup and macaroni cheese

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 27/03/2020 09:57

Fifteen! They are responsible for the shelf that's appeared where my arse should be.Grin

BarbaraofSeville · 27/03/2020 09:59

Pizza. I like it with lots of mediterranean veg so it wouldn't even be that unhealthy.

Plus maybe crisps. Mackies ready salted, or the new Aldi copy, which are probably exactly the same and made by Mackies too, which is great because you can't usually get them in England.

If we're allowed a drink, obviously it would be a G&T.

Seventyone72seventy3 · 27/03/2020 10:01

Maybe I am overthinking this but I would choose two things I don't love but are healthy (broccoli and brown rice). Whatever I choose I am going to emerge hating and I want to dream of my favourite foods, not ruin them forever!

labazsisgoingmad · 27/03/2020 10:03

macaroni cheese and cadburys mini eggs you know the ones with the crunchy shell and thick choccy!

steppemum · 27/03/2020 10:06

hmm, I'm hoping that drinks aren't included, because if they are then it will need to be tea. (can I cheat and have it as tea with milk?)

but for food - rice - but plain? nothing in it? yuck. Fried rice maybe, as long as it is full of veg and prawns.

or, pizza.

steppemum · 27/03/2020 10:07

I like your reasoning seventyone

AtleastitsnotMonday · 27/03/2020 10:33

Hawaiian Pizza and salt and vinegar French fries (the crisps)

UnagiSalmonSkinRoll · 27/03/2020 10:35

@steppemum urghh I haven't thought this through properly Grin I can't change it now I have committed

Pizza and egg on toast

FenellaVelour · 27/03/2020 10:35

Nachos, and egg and salad cream sandwiches. I’m gross.

Katinski · 27/03/2020 11:25

Assuming there are oils, vinegars etc in the larder, I'd have an unending (well,12 weeks) supply of mixed shellfish and spaghetti. OR, keep the shellfish, ditch the spaghetti and replace it with a LARGE winebox of white. Yep! that'll do nicely.Grin

LajesticVantrashell · 27/03/2020 14:36

Pizza

Mr Kipling chocolate slices

BuckingFrolics · 27/03/2020 14:41

Cheese - if people can have "pizza" then I can have "cheese".

Potatoes I think as so versatile I could even make crisps from them.

Gran22 · 27/03/2020 14:42

I'd go with the prawn fried rice and salted caramel ice cream. Heaven.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 27/03/2020 14:47

Cheese burger and chips

steppemum · 27/03/2020 17:34

oh clever buckingfrolics

potatoes, but you can cook them any way you like...
the options are endless.

EnglishRain · 27/03/2020 17:35

Buttered toast. Mmmmmm

steppemum · 27/03/2020 17:49

big question is, how many condiments are available

So bread - well, that is very versatile if I can add butter, jam, marmite, etc. even salad cream.
bread/toast etc

Fuckiveranoutofpasta · 27/03/2020 17:56

Olive bread with lots of thick real butter.
McCoy’s salt and vinegar crisps to make sandwiches with said olive bread.
